YSI is seeking a highly qualified Senior Full Stack Cloud Engineer to support the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). This individual will play a key role in developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native, micro frontend applications and APIs using AWS, React, and NodeJS. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional agile team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable AWS micro frontends using React and NodeJS
- Develop front-end components and back-end services for cloud and hybrid applications
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and related tools
- Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation and Terraform
- Integrate and manage APIs using AWS API Gateway
- Implement secure solutions with IAM, role-based access control, and AWS Cognito
- Apply DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment
- Perform stress testing, monitoring, and logging to ensure system resiliency
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define and deliver technical solutions
- Lead and mentor other developers on the team
- Maintain documentation and adhere to compliance standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Full stack development expertise with AWS, ReactJS, and NodeJS
- Micro frontends orchestration using Single-SPA or similar frameworks
- Strong understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture, and serverless computing
- API design and development experience, including use of AWS API Gateway
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and automation tools
- Proficient in scripting (NodeJS, Python) and version control (GitHub)
- Experience with cloud networking, security best practices, and VPC architecture
- Monitoring and alerting setup using AWS native tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with business process automation and user training
- AWS Solution Architect Professional certification (preferred)
- Single-SPA with React JS experience is required
